I specifically paid extra for a “mountain view” room because the photos on Booking showed a beautiful, open and unobstructed view of the mountain from the terrace and BATHTUB. I even asked before and they confirmed. Instead, I was given a room on the 3rd floor, which was clearly one of the worst rooms in this category. Although the mountain was technically visible when standing outside, the actual view from the bathtub was completely blocked by short shrubs and the roof below. Mt Fuji was visible but I couldn’t get to enjoy. When sitting in the bath, I could only see the the plants directly in front of me. This was completely different from the experience shown in the Booking photos and from what they told me I was paying for. When I questioned the room allocation at check-in, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and that my options were either to downgrade to an economy room or pay even more to upgrade. I had already paid a significant amount specifically for a mountain-view room, so being told to either accept an inferior experience or spend even more money was frankly ridicul - 4/10, 2026-08-08, Nuitée booking guest Didn't like: Le repas à la carte est vraiment pas adapté,comme s'ils prenaient une petite partie du plat principal (qui est dans le menu de 6 service)et appelé "plat principal ". Instead of addressing concerns meaningfully, staff pointed out small complimentary items like ice cream, which did not feel like an appropriate response. At times, the interaction came across as slightly rude. Hierdoor genoodzaakt om na je aankomst einde van de middag direct een taxi te regelen naar een restaurant in de omgeving, taxikosten a 10€ enkele rit. Wij boekten wel diner voor de dag erna met de kanttekening dat wij het menu wilden bekijken (zwangerschap en schaal/schelpdieren allergie). Hier kon geen rekening mee worden gehouden, wij moesten dan zelf het eten eruit halen wat niet mag. Echter is het menu behoorlijk aan de prijs en mag je dit dan toch wel verwachten? Wij besloten het diner daarom ochtends vroeg te annuleren; dit kon niet. Uiteindelijk na overleg met de manager wel. - Shuttledienst beperkt; alleen ochtends tussen 09:30-11:30 kun je naar kawaguchiko gebracht worden, en halen tussen 14-17 uur. Ondanks dat de shuttlebus dus wel rijdt op andere tijdstippen mag je niet mee. - Hotellobby/bar viel tegen. Weinig plek, en een aantal zitplaatsen in het winkeltje. In the end, we agreed to go to the other hotel, and the receptionist told us it was booked for us. However, when we arrived, the hotel said they had not received any confirmation.
