“Palais Gallien's split”
Le Palais Gallien Hôtel & Spa is a magnificent good stay — a beautiful hidden spot in Bordeaux with friendly great staff, a wonderful in-room jacuzzi, an exquisite pool that shines on hundred-plus-degree days, a great breakfast, and good service; guests look forward to returning. Caveats though are real: it sits a fair way from the centre and tourist area — worth the walk for some but inconvenient for others — and one guest found the room narrow with a low ceiling, the facilities dark, and the lift reaching only the second floor, leaving a heavy suitcase to haul up stairs.
