About Staylist World
Hotels compared on the same facts, for you and your AI.
Staylist World (staylist.world) compares 82,024 hotels in 2,879 cities on the same facts, including the complaints, and no hotel can pay to rank higher. In mainland China it also shows whether a hotel accepts foreign guests. The same data works inside AI assistants through a free connector, with no sign-up.
AI score
Staylist's AI score is our own rating out of 10, decided by combining several scores with what guests say in their reviews. Hotels we haven't scored yet show a guest rating from our booking partner instead, labelled "Guest rating".
To order hotels we combine our score with guest ratings from booking sites, compared within each country because some countries rate more generously. A score is a summary, not a guarantee; check what matters for your trip.
AI overview
For a growing selection of hotels we write our own overview with pros, cons and who the hotel suits, drawing on public information and including the complaints. It is an AI summary, not a guest review.
How each hotel compares
We compare every hotel with others in its city: its rank, how its typical price compares with similar hotels, and where guests rate it above or below the local average.
Prices
Prices are typical nightly rates observed earlier, a quick guide rather than a quote. You see the live price for your dates on the partner's site before you book.
The same criteria for every hotel
Every hotel is compared on the same fields, and a missing field is shown as unknown rather than counted against the hotel. Hotels can't pay to rank higher. Coverage today:
- Score: every hotel (82,024), as an AI score or a labelled guest rating.
- AI overview with pros, cons and who it suits: 15,730 hotels (19%), growing.
- Typical nightly price: 79,731 hotels (97%).
- Nearest subway or train station with distance: 66,805 hotels (81%).
- Listed amenities: 80,716 hotels (98%).
Known limits: prices are observed earlier, not live; distances are straight-line; coverage is strongest in large tourist cities.
Where our data comes from
- Hotel facts and photos come from the public property pages of Trip.com, our booking partner; photos are loaded from Trip.com's servers. A few hotels use photos from Google Hotels, collected through SerpApi. Each photo set is credited on the hotel page.
- AI overviews are written with AI from public information about each hotel and checked automatically for copied wording. They cover a growing selection of hotels, not all of them.
- Prices are nightly rates observed earlier, not quotes for your dates. The partner's site shows the live price and availability.
- Distances are straight-line distances from map coordinates, not walking times. Very short distances are shown as "under 50 m" because coordinates are approximate.
We rebuild the catalogue regularly; each city and hotel page shows when its data was last updated. Facilities and policies can change, so check details that matter to you with the hotel or the booking partner.
How we earn money
Staylist is free. When you book through one of our partner links, such as Trip.com or Klook (via Travelpayouts), we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Hotels can't pay to rank higher, and commission never changes scores or order. You book and pay on the partner's website; we never handle payment.
For AI assistants
The same hotels, ratings and booking links are available to AI assistants through our free MCP connector. See the agent guide or the connector setup.
Who runs Staylist World
Ziad E. founded Staylist World in 2026. He holds a master's degree in AI and machine learning research and lives in Shenzhen, China. He built Staylist to answer one question honestly: which hotel is actually right for this trip? The site summarises what guests say about 80,000 hotels, tracks the prices shown on booking pages, and publishes free data on hotel prices and guest complaints. Ziad writes the city guides and checks the data behind them, including the China travel guides, from his own experience of living there.
Staylist World is run by the Staylist World group, independently operated from Morocco. Questions or corrections: support@staylist.world.
