“Fourvière's hilltop monastery”
Fourvière Hôtel is a hillside Lyon gem — a unique corridor-style property with monastery calm that made guests skip the city centre, a beautiful lobby, an incredible pool, convenient onsite parking, a friendly beautiful responsible front desk, an upgraded two-bedroom layout with ensuites overlooking the slope, a back door beside the Roman theatre and a fine church close by, and a limited-but-quality filling breakfast; called one of France's best and the most satisfying stay of the trip. Caveats though: descending on foot means steps.
