Aston at the Executive Centre Hotel is a clean, spacious downtown Honolulu hotel — beautiful harbor and ocean views including in-room sunsets, a fancy-looking environment, multiple fast elevators, early-arrival bag storage plus early check-in, two blocks to the state capitol and Iolani Palace, a Korean mart, 7-Eleven and bakery beside, bus 20 to the airport, and genuinely lovely kind staff. The complaints: it's Bishop Street business district — far from Waikiki and the area turns edgy after dark with closed shops and a homeless presence; the AC ran way too cold and couldn't be turned up; and it felt expensive overall for the level.
