“Grand Universe's save”
Grand Universe Lucca, Autograph Collection is a very special outstanding stay — a pretty newer hotel well-placed in Lucca's old town where the stay anchored a super trip, excellent food, service and staff, a brilliant room upgrade, a rooftop bar with the lovely Azura, and Davide who coordinated a next-morning van to Monterosso when a rail strike hit — sorted on very short notice. Caveats though: parking is awkward — cars go to the unified station lot, though you can drive in for luggage at check-in and out provided you register the plate at the desk to dodge a ZTL fine.
