Ambassador Hotel Kansas City, Autograph Collection is a beautiful regular-trip pick for many — clean well-furnished nice-size rooms with a large amazing-pressure shower, a beautiful lobby, a delicious main-floor dessert and food, a convenient easy-walk spot near the Power and Light district and two blocks from the streetcar to City Market, and very pleasant kind helpful staff. Caveats though: a severe report describes a reservation cancelled as a duplicate with no restoration effort, another had no hot water for a shower, and one room's AC kept shutting off leaving muggy moisture-laden air.
