Aloft Kunshan Dianshan Lake is a great-value treasure stay — a newly-opened hotel with wide-open lake views, comfortable twin beds, a gym and a pigeon-feeding activity, free access to the neighboring Sheraton's warm clean pool, a five-minute walk to the lakeside boulevard, a campsite fifteen minutes' drive away, in-room views of the Sheraton's festival fireworks bursting right in front, and attentive service with thanks to desk agent Olivia and concierge boys Sun/Felix and a tall three-earring colleague who kept up despite a full house. Caveats though: the breakfast ran out under crowds and needs improvement.
