Amankila is a perfect best-in-Bali stay — the third-ever Aman remains a destination in itself, a clean tidy room gazing at the Lombok Strait with lounging spots everywhere, a remarkably well-maintained thirty-year seaside estate, a very rich activity program including a full-moon blessing on the beach and plenty to fill three or four days, the best-loved Italian restaurant, and service that feels like family — staff remember each guest and drivers Monku and Koman, Leena at the desk, Resma, Astika and Kaci in the restaurant, and sommelier Ali all drew thanks; a hillside villa is the pick of the views.
