Booked for a conference — newer than the neighbouring Holiday Inn — Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel gave one guest a thoroughly-enjoyed stay: a pretty clean room, fast delicious room service, a nice conference space and coffee service. Serious complaints cluster elsewhere: paid daily internet and parking, poor soundproofing with train, plane and door noise plus a very loud post-midnight party corridor, a final bill differing from the booking, a cockroach sighting, a staffer carding into an occupied room, missing slippers, toiletries and bottled water alongside a seven-dollar bottle downstairs, and unanswered late-night desk phones.
