Luma Hotel Times Square is a very clean, convenient Midtown hotel — an excellent spot beside the library with a supermarket, breakfast places, metro and restaurants all near, small-but-Manhattan-normal rooms with nice bathrooms, thoughtful details like a Dyson dryer and Luma chocolate, daily sheet changes, essentials supplied, fast lifts, and warm friendly staff. The complaints: a room facing an office wall at right angles stayed dark day and night behind drawn curtains; the lobby and lounge are tiny and underwhelming; exterior scaffolding surrounded during one stay; and the shower ran weak.
