The Melrose Georgetown Hotel is a nice hotel in a perfect Georgetown spot — very big rooms, a free gym with a water dispenser, free morning lobby coffee and tea, a praised Asian restaurant opposite, walkable reaches to the National Mall and the neighborhood's dining and shopping, and very helpful staff with bag storage on both ends. Caveats though: the room air conditioner ran very loud, and check-in even a minute early costs a fifty-dollar fee — so guests queued in the lobby at the hour.
