“Hotel de Cambis' Avignon charm”
Hotel de Cambis, BW Premier Collection is a surprising pink-green modern hotel on the old town's main street — small-but-well-used clean quiet rooms with comfortable bedding, a fresh breakfast with homestyle cakes eaten to medieval-window views, six minutes to the station and ten to the Palais des Papes, opposite the tourist office, and brilliant helpful staff; a manager twice checked a room and found a guest's lost wallet with documents. Caveats though: street-facing rooms catch the pre-dawn cleaning trucks, towels went unchanged over three nights, and breakfast variety is limited.
