“Hotel de Havelet's hill views”

Best Western Hotel de Havelet is a beautiful historic-conversion hotel with wonderful views — clean small-but-complete rooms (no shampoo or conditioner though), an enjoyed pool sauna and steam room, a lovely lobby with fire comfortable seating and board games, an excellent breakfast, an easy ten-minute downhill walk to town, and helpful staff who rang rooms to check and squeezed in a flight-delayed guest. Caveats though: no lifts on a knee-taxing slope, creaking floors, a noisy running air conditioner (earplugs advised), and note two sister hotels exist when directing drivers.
