Banyan Tree Bangkok is a great welcoming stay — a Sathorn location with the MRT and BTS within a kilometre, a spacious clean room with a forty-sixth-floor city-skyline view, hospitable smiling staff throughout, a really good breakfast, turndown service on request with a gifted little turtle and towel elephants, and snacks and drinks offered during a slow check-in. Caveats though: the lobby renovation moved check-in to the nineteenth floor and the process ran slow.
