Garrya Yangcheng Lake is a peaceful year-old garden hotel beside its Banyan Tree sibling — clean well-laid rooms with comfortable bedding and dual charging ports, hot-water stations in corridors, bridges and pavilions across private gardens with peacocks and black swans, a farm field for children, a rich Chinese-friendly spacious breakfast, a free photo session, duck-feeding by the lake, and amazing staff (ambassador Martin Yang praised; desk upgrades granted). Two drawbacks though: nothing remains open past eight around the property, the pool closes at eight, and it suits drivers best.
