On a brilliant location — the beach just there, ocean-view rooms recommended Crowne Plaza Vilamoura - Algarve by IHG is a nice decent stay: spotless spaces, cool interiors, perfect easy aircon, really comfortable beds, a first-class breakfast, a lovely beach-facing junior suite and wonderful staff across bellman, restaurant, spa and desk. Serious complaints though: a child-fee surprise ballooned on arrival a forced upgrade to a same-size sofa-bed room dated hardware with stand-in-tub showers, no pool towels without payment, rain-wet breakfast chairs, charges for everything, busy sunbed allocation and better-value rivals nearby.
