“Melbourne's crowne plaza”
A ten-minute walk from Southern Cross — free trams at the door, DFO and the aquarium near, a beautiful river view — Crowne Plaza Melbourne by IHG is a great business-perfect stay: a clean great room, uncommonly friendly praised staff, an in-place front desk, a handy lobby water dispenser and easy access everywhere. Cautions though: weak soundproofing, upstairs footsteps and corridor chatter woke one guest three mornings, plus a crowded thin-choice breakfast with improvable service.
