Crowne Plaza Shaoxing Binhai New Area is a very satisfying new stay — spacious comfortable bright soundproofed rooms with clever floating-style desk lamps (a requested twenty-second-floor room gave sparkling city views), a rich Chinese-and-Western buffet breakfast with made-fresh specialties, full lunch sets, afternoon coffee and snacks, fresh-ingredient dinners, quick warm proactive all-request service from desk and restaurant, and a pleasant evening riverside path opposite despite the distance from town; great value. Caveats though: one room needed maintenance — a shower door that wouldn't fully close, a cracked threshold stone, and a day-one detached sink drain (fixed fast).
