“Crowne Plaza Hongqiao's airport perch”
Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hongqiao by IHG is a good-value hotel near the airport — nice spacious clean comfortable rooms (disposable bathtub liners, automatic curtains, new-looking fittings), an extensive fabulous varied breakfast, Mid-Autumn mooncakes, and very good warm attentive staff; the airport sits a thirty-minute walk or five-minute ride away. Caveats though: the afternoon tea and happy-hour buffets ran thin with ordinary taste and no refills.
