Across from the beach close to the old city, Hotel Caribe by Faranda Grand, a Member of Radisson Individuals is a loved-it worth-the-rate stay for many: an amazing property with oasis-like pools, very good facilities, everything in one place, near-the-beach convenience, an okay restaurant and a total-recommend. Cautions: a really old building — a first room with cloudy windows and a tiny bathroom, though a second garden-and-pool-view room was really good — and a billing question over prepay versus at-hotel tax.
