Near the convention centre within ten minutes' walk, Radisson Cartagena Ocean Pavillion is a three-day stay with attentive always-smiling staff, a super seaside pool, a spacious bright clean tidy suite and a must-eat charcoal steak. Serious pans though: a second-stay guest calls it their last — too many service issues and facilities below expectations — holiday rates ran high plus a city tax, one breakfast was terrible against the room rate, and an old-hotel room list included no toothbrush, yellowed thin towels, a leaking showerhead, a broken safe that trapped a colleague's items, a dead room phone and areas needing maintenance.
