“Shelborne's stylish South Beach, early hammering”
Shelborne South Beach by Proper is an interesting, beautifully-renovated hotel with a designer feel — stylish rooms (a little small with low ceilings), amazing views, fantastic balcony rooms with a romantic feel, an excellent breakfast, a pool DJ, super cordial staff who granted a free upgrade, and a boutique's Alina who made guests feel cared for; annual returnees love it. Real complaints: construction next door starts very early every day including weekends, making sleep impossible — the hotel gave no warning; one guest was charged for a bottle they never consumed (refunded after clarifying); a broken balcony door would not lock; and the glass water bottles smelled funky.
