Element by Marriott Kuala Lumpur is a good pretty stay — a staycation pick near the MRT within ten minutes' walk of KLCC and a new mall, really pretty high-floor rooms with exquisite views facing the Twin Towers from the dining floor, an upgraded suite so vast one guest joked you could play basketball, a lavish five-star-standard breakfast covering Chinese and Western spreads with made-to-order roti, tasty curry and salad plus smoked salmon and lontong over the days, and especially-good front-desk staff. Caveats though: the bed is extra-soft — hard-mattress sleepers beware; the hairdryer is an old hold-the-button type; the sink drained slowly even after one fix; and no bottled water is provided.
