SLS Barcelona is a brand-new, stylishly-designed Barcelona hotel — a grand fashionable lobby, clean roomy rooms each with a small balcony, a marina view near restaurants and the beach, bike rentals, taxis at the door (twenty minutes to sights), a big choice-rich breakfast, embroidery-detailed slippers and bathrobes, a dedicated makeup and blow-dry area with an irregular mirror, Chinese New Year cards and fruit that delighted guests, and incredibly-friendly staff with excellent local recommendations. The complaints: 'don't expect much — sub-standard service'; an unrepaired spraying showerhead with weak flow; and a non-central location.
