Brown's Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel is a fantastic Mayfair landmark — London's first hotel since Queen Victoria's accession, where Bell placed Britain's first overseas call and royalty and Churchill stayed, with comfortable characterful rooms on a quiet street, a superb spot walking distance to Regent Street, Selfridges, Buckingham Palace and St James's, famous breakfast, afternoon tea and dinners, and the best-London service ever — the doorman who magicked chocolate coins for two children, attentive waiter Myron, pre-planned nut-allergy care, live music, and staff who remembered a cancelled earlier booking. No material complaints appeared.
