Opposite the Opera House near the pedestrian mall — the market and square a short ride — Hotel Continental Saigon is a loved wonderful stay: a very spacious high-ceilinged room in a century-old building, complete amenities, delicious food, a generous international breakfast served in a garden setting and a superb near-everything location. Cautions: old inconvenient facilities, thirty-millilitre toiletry bottles and a very loud drain-pipe noise after showers for one.
