Right beside Nakajima Park — whose Toyohirakan hall and Japanese garden merit a stroll — and a metro station with Susukino walkable, Sapporo Park Hotel is a grand 1964 property that has kept good maintenance, a prime landmark location, easy parking, a superb prime stay with impeccable cleanliness, friendly English-capable staff who offer cleaning-skip rewards, and a breakfast beside the park; it's a shame it closes in February. Dissents: staff warmth fell short of budget-chain cheer for one guest, singles run small, a duvet needed a sheet barrier, and the ladies' skincare set went unexplained.
