Four Seasons Hotel Beijing is an understated-luxury hotel — the most comfortable of all per a repeat guest, an exquisite breakfast, a seven-to-eight-minute walk to the visa hall and four to Liangmaqiao metro, river-view rooms, a loved lobby ice cream, an excellent T-bone at MIO, a big pool with a hot tub kids enjoyed, and attentive meticulous service (Yvette and a warm desk clerk praised) with proper turndown. Notes: room facilities show age — especially the toilet, where a phone shelf was wished for — and the sixth-floor spa rooms need renovation.
