“Hip Amstel hideout, five-star breakfast”
Hotel V Fizeaustraat is a hip, design-led Amsterdam hotel eight minutes from Amstel station with a bus at the door — ten minutes by train to the centre — and guests praise quiet rooms away from the lifts, spacious layouts overlooking green space and townhouses, industrial-chic design and lovely amenity scents guests want to buy. The breakfast is called five-star and the downstairs restaurant delicious and fairly valued, staff are sweet and flexible about early check-in and late checkout, bikes can be rented, and rare-for-Amsterdam basement parking exists. Quibbles: minimal toiletries, weak shower pressure and few restaurants nearby.
