Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 - A Chatrium Collection Bangkok is a clean, convenient mid-Soi-18 hotel — ten minutes each from Terminal 21, Asoke BTS and Phrom Phong, spacious cozy rooms (some with kitchen, stove, oven and kettle), no mold or cockroaches, a good breakfast suited to families, a small kid-splash pool, a 7-Eleven and street stalls at the corner, improved beds, and polite responsive staff; repeat guests found it better this time. Notes: the old ceiling AC swings hot and cold, rooms run dark with curtains shut, the pool is too small to swim properly, rush-hour jams slow returns, and the smoking seat is monopolized by waiting drivers.
