Ebb-Dunedin is a very new stylish design hotel styled like an art gallery — spacious clean tidy rooms and apartments (one suite ran a hundred and twenty square metres), slippers provided, a handy spot ten minutes from the Octagon and beside a shopping centre, a cleverly-hidden carpark between buildings, and friendly accommodating staff. One small gripe: a floor light that could not be switched off shone directly into a sleeper's eyes.
