1908 Lisboa Hotel is a century-old building with modern minimalist interiors — an absolute gem with art everywhere, thoughtful décor, beautiful suites and comfortable beds. Staff are amazing: a 1am landing still got a warm welcome, free drink, pastel de nata and a room upgrade, and the desk plans itineraries like a friend. The cooked-to-order breakfast is outstanding with fresh breads and vegan choices, and Infame restaurant is good though one dinner ran salty. The Intendente location sits ten-to-twenty minutes from the centre across a stretch one guest found slightly uneasy at night — buddy up or take a taxi.
