Two kilometres downhill from the centre — a heavy walk back uphill — Hotel Cristal Porto is an excellent exceptional stay for many: a great breakfast, amazing very helpful service and staff, clean sanitary rooms and a parking lot. Cautions though: a two-kilometre downhill walk to the centre that turns heavy uphill home, small rooms for one and a restaurant-and-bar service with twenty-five-minute waits for orders.
