“HGI Mannheim's rail-side stay”
Hilton Garden Inn Mannheim is a very clean efficient stay five minutes from the main station — big bright quiet rooms (trains visible but not audible) with air conditioning and a quirky good-sounding bathroom radio, a reasonably good breakfast (weekend peak seating runs short), a small sufficient basement gym, warm smiling polite staff, smooth management suited to early-train travelers and Heidelberg side trips, and ample nearby parking and restaurants. One significant grievance though: a prepaid guest who could not travel after a personal emergency was refused any reimbursement.
