Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Downtown is a clean basic hotel a perfect walk from the Bay Center — roomy rooms with very comfortable beds, loaner bikes, a delicious breakfast, and friendly staff. Caveats though: parking costs extra and neither happy hour nor breakfast is free, housekeeping only tidied a few towels once, restaurant food disappointed beyond the dumplings (eat elsewhere suggested), and one evening the restaurant never opened because the cook failed to report — stranding concert-night plans.
