“Pontchartrain's uptown soul”
Pontchartrain Hotel St. Charles Avenue is an old-New-Orleans Garden District hotel by the tram — very clean comfortable suites with extra living rooms and Le Labo toiletries, fantastic onsite restaurants, a don't-miss rooftop bar view, real keys, and phenomenal eager staff for many. Caveats though: one stay had an air conditioner that could not cool plus a broken bed, housekeeping never came despite repeated requests for another, the bathroom read too dated, carpets need remodeling, valet is dear, and one guest deemed it better to stay elsewhere and just visit the bar.
