“Alfama's beloved boutique heroics”

AlmaLusa Alfama is a beautifully restored, charming Lisbon boutique in the centre of everything — walkable to the iconic sights, the art-deco train station, trams and subway, with fado dinners twice weekly next door. The front desk is called simply the best: they guided guests to cultural events, offered checkout luggage storage unprompted, and once chased a phone left in an Uber, navigating festival closures to get it back. Rooms are clean and comfortable with wonderful sheets — smaller than expected once — and the shower floor is slippery enough that one guest fell, thankfully unharmed.
