“Cape Canaveral's launches”
Homewood Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral-Cocoa Beach is a lovely comfortable stay — spacious rooms where guests watched a rocket launch from the window, a two-minute drive to the beach, peacocks displaying on the lawns at nearby Peacock Beach, in-room kitchens with a big supermarket close by, Crabtree and Evelyn bathroom products, a very nice breakfast buffet, maybe the friendliest staff a guest had known anywhere, efficient cruise-shuttle help, and a five-second check-in that mattered to a guest with muscle weakness and poor balance. Caveats though: breakfast runs a little simple; floors could be more carefully cleaned; windows do not open and rooms feel humid; and the hotel charges for the terminal drop-off — the rental company's free one was the better pick.
