Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu is a fantastic-location satisfied stay — clean comfortable rooms with sea views, a fridge and coffee maker, a pool and a beautiful (swim-limited) pool area, fireworks views by the lagoon, an away-from-the-crowds spot close to great beaches and shopping — McDonald's and an ABC store across the street and Ala Moana mall a short walk — plus a direct airport bus, and warm detailed staff. Caveats though: the restaurant and bar only open in a window of hours, the bed ran too soft, and shower temperature fluctuated.
