“Cape Rey's beach shuttle”
Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa is a clean resort near the sand — spacious quality-bedded rooms, a heated pool kids loved, an amazing beach shuttle, a nice on-site restaurant, a spa and fitness room, and warm helpful staff (a promptly-fixed restaurant mix-up noted). Real complaints though: a paid-for breakfast was first denied then capped then limited to two of four guests — a saga echoed by a French review whose manager never came; the hot tub ran double its capacity unchecked, the bed was uncomfortable for one, the fridge cooled but not for perishables, and one rude staffer refused coffee at one minute to nine.
