“Patong resort value”
Close to Patong beach amid lush gardens with coconut trees and Thai statues, Holiday Inn Resort Phuket by IHG exceeded expectations for one guest as the area's value king: renovated modern-Thai rooms with slatted wood partitions, herringbone floors, a ring-lit mirror and natural toiletries, a sapphire pool, amazing breakfast, excellent service and amenities; the premium wing was an amazing choice. Counterpoints though: pipes briefly ran yellow, the hotel runs small and old in parts, a guest found check-in unfriendly with no upgrade over five nights, street noise is loud and Jungceylon is a fifteen-to-twenty-minute walk; kids' activities were a plus.
