Right in the centre — walkable to Ripley's — Holiday Inn Express Toronto Downtown by IHG is a wonderful great-location stay for many: a clean big-enough room, very good breakfast, an upgraded any-time coffee machine, friendly helpful staff kind to a toddler and a loved coffee robot named Merly. A severe dissent though: a scaffold-wrapped exterior, no service per one guest, a requested-quiet room landed a loud low floor beside the AC vent with midnight traffic, an alleged pattern of placing Chinese guests low, and a refused storage request.
