“Sirkeci's historic stay”
Near the T1 tram in an alley with Hagia Sophia and the mosque walkable — cafes and a handmade-soap shop around — DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul - Sirkeci draws excellent-service top-notch-clean stays: very friendly staff, a nice handsome night clerk who answered everything including exchange tips, a great breakfast and historic sights nearby, a solid short-stay recommend. Dissents though: one guest called it not worth the rate, old, with a speechlessly-thin breakfast, a slightly-dark small room with a strange layout (huge bathroom, balcony), and the six-thirty call to prayer shocks light sleepers.
