“Hotel 1904's Ålesund charm”
Hotel 1904 is a beautiful retro-feeling Ålesund stay — lovely unique spacious modern rooms, toiletries good enough to buy (Frama), tax-refund paperwork help including a patient late-night sort-out, one staffer even phoning a clinic about a guest's skin irritation, free evening street parking (tight spaces), a genuinely exceptional breakfast called a life's-best, and friendly service-minded staff. The flaws: a doorless shower that flooded the bathroom floor (a squeegee is provided), no gym (the five-minute-away substitute felt pointless), a missing vanity kit, and twenty-minute drink waits at dinner.
