Tekeli Konaklari is a marvellous highest-recommendation stay — a quaint family-run place in the heart of the old town above the harbour with stunning bay, sea and mountain views, a beautiful suite-like clean tidy room with old artifacts, a huge great local-style breakfast — maybe too much food — a cool pool for after a swim, friendly helpful owners and staff including host Mehmet, and a made-to-go breakfast for an early flight. Caveats though: a noisy street and a nearby disco played loud music past midnight that rattled windows — the air-con fan helps mask it — and window screens would keep mosquitoes out.
