“Hotel am Stern's basic value”
Hotel am Stern is a simple clean central hotel near the mall and a short walk to the Phantasialand bus — small warm rooms with portable cooling, friendly staff, paid parking (six euros; a motorbike was given a free corner), and a decent buffet breakfast. Flagged though: hot food ran out an hour before close unreplenished, one portable AC held dirty smelly water, roof blowtorch works at seven-thirty woke a room without warning, a booking app's map misplaced the hotel by two-and-a-half kilometers, and rooms lack fridges and USB points.
