“Ames' breakfast split”
Hampton Inn & Suites Ames is a good clean stay — a nice family-friendly hotel with a pool the kids loved, clean comfortable rooms with a comfy bed and a duvet-in-cover setup one guest preferred, a quick easy check-in, and a very good generous breakfast with different eggs and sausage daily, two waffle kinds, breads, scones, muffins, oatmeal and fruit. Caveats though: the breakfast coffee was called undrinkable — old, burnt and bitter — and the pool ran a bit too cold for an evening swim.
