Hampton Inn Chula Vista Eastlake is a well-kept newer property on a quiet hill with restaurants within walking distance — clean spacious high-ceilinged rooms, an extremely nice front desk, simple check-in, parking close to rooms, a handy lobby store, a very good included breakfast, in-room coffee and mini-fridges (Target is down the street), plus a generous noon checkout. Caveats: all-night stomping from upstairs neighbours disturbed one guest, a strong room odor needed a second staffer's freshener, and lobby snacks are marked up heavily.
