“Hampton Xining's upgrade”
Hampton by Hilton (Xining Jiaboyuan) is an excellent satisfied five-star stay — spacious clean rooms with wet-dry bathrooms and a converting sofa, well-maintained full carpeting (slight window stains), a compact gym with towels, water and scale, a great-variety delicious breakfast for many, proactive kids' toiletries and a free desk-arranged upgrade, a spot near Leopard Street and the museum, and warm sunny-smiled service. Caveats though: one guest called breakfast a terrible crush — five minutes after the 7am opening, most tables were already taken by senior tour groups.
